May Day Baskets
Begins May 1st!
Do you remember the tradition of preparing and hanging May Day baskets?
Every spring we hang our May Day baskets at the entrance of our businesses for our community to enjoy and have a friendly competition at the same time.
here’s what you need to know!!

Competition Requirements
1) Use of fresh flowers, live plants, and cuttings/gatherings from nature.
2) Artificial flowers are allowed, but ONLY in combination with fresh/live.
3) Any basket or container can be incorporated - get creative and make it unique.
4) Your display MUST be outside, either on your door OR in your outside doorway area.
5) Your display MUST be ready for judging by noon, Wednesday, May 1st.
6) Your display MUST be designed+constructed by the owner/staff of your business.
7) Your display should remain in place through the end of the day, May 5th for judging.
8) You may connect any sales/events to your May Day basket and/or raffle your basket off (and picked up after May 5th).
9) Create a plan for inviting your customers to view the baskets and vote for you!
10) You will be given a registration card, attach this card to your basket.
Public voting will be available online May 1-5
*A Basket Viewing Map will be distributed Mon. April 29th.
