DOWNTOWN PORT ORCHARD – OPEN WITH CARE
You support small businesses and capture the spirit of Port Orchard with your gift giving when you shop downtown. This holiday season take the time to enjoy the festive holiday decorations that light up Bay Street, enjoy the decorated trees and vote for your favorite at the Port Orchard Market. The City of Port Orchard put up the trees and lights and dedicated citizens, businesses and organizations decorated them. You can see the trees on the City’s website here. Congratulations to the 2020 Downtown Tree Contest Winners!

There is still time to vote for your favorite to be awarded People’s Choice! The Port Orchard Bay Street Association will announce the People’s Choice tree winner on December 23. Just in time to announce the $250 Downtown Dollars winner! Thank you Peninsula Credit Union for sponsoring this fun event. All you do is collect Downtown Dollar tickets from participating merchants and drop them in the box at the Port Orchard Market.
Our shops are open and everyone is taking care in the midst of COVID. You can still enjoy wandering in and out of the numerous small shops, each with a unique inventory of those one-of-a-kind gifts that are wonderful to receive, but arguably even more fun to give. Looking for a Sasquatch bottle opener or a glass jar filled with fresh salt water taffy? Both can be found on Bay Street and both make terrific gifts. A bottle of that hard to find IPA or a pair of knitted fingerless gloves? Bay Street. A Fenton glass fairy light or the perfect transfer ware turkey platter? A piece of art or a handcrafted item? You guessed it, all can be found on Bay Street. Whether you want to call ahead and pick it up or arrange for a special shopping appointment, your support of the downtown businesses is always so appreciated but particularly at this time.
While you can easily spend an entire day in the shops, don’t forget to stop for refreshments to take out or take home. There is something to satisfy every appetite.
