Hello, I’m Robert!

Good day fellow allies of the waterfront. I am Captain Robert Heay.

I worked at Port Orchard Yacht Sales on Bay Street for many years starting in 1984 . Eventually, a full ownership opportunity was offered and I bit the hook.

The business was open from 1972 to 2022. 50 consecutive years on Bay Street, maybe not a record but duly noted.

In those years there were many yacht delivery jobs from Alaska to Mexico and in the Caribbean. Never was I happier than to arrive home on the shores of Port Orchard and return to my people and my favorite place in the world.

My time on Bay Street has been occupied in committees, meetings, and interactions with city government to keep focused on the well being of local merchants and their access to opportunity and fair representation.

I have found that regular meetings with fellow allies on Bay Street through the Alliance is a proven method of keeping critical lines of communication open and nourished.

I look forward to working with this team to provide a voice for the merchants and the residents of our fair town.
